Kathy Griffin, a native of suburban Chicago, near west, is the youngest of five children. She has three older brothers and elder sister. When his parents retired to California, Kathy west with them after graduating from Oak Park River Forest High School and began trying to break into show business. She performed with the Groundlings and has paid the taxes do stand-up comedy at various clubs until she was discovered. After his brothers as a child Kathy circulate among the guests at parties and telling jokes. Kathy has a regular stand-up engagement in the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and hosted the reality series "Average Joe" (2003).
